Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to your use of calmtrait.online, published by Evropastar s.r.o., Na Vyhlídce 1317/16, 360 01 Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic, company registration 29161266. Reading the site means accepting them. If you do not accept them, the remedy is simply not to read on.

What this site is

Calm Trait is a free, informational workbook about setting up and playing online PC games, written for general readers in Australia. It is published for information only.

It is not professional advice of any kind, and in particular it is not security advice, legal advice, financial advice or advice about your own computer, your own household or your own circumstances. It is not accredited training: there is no enrolment, no assessment, no qualification and no certificate, and finishing the course establishes nothing about you. Where a matter is serious, consult someone who can look at your actual situation.

Accuracy and change

We write each step from sources available at the time and review the whole course at least every six months, with the latest review date printed in the footer of every page. Even so, the things described here change without telling us. Game publishers revise their requirements, their prices, their terms and their sign-up processes; operating systems move the panels described in Step 2; public bodies reorganise their websites.

So the detail of any particular product must be checked with the vendor of that product, on the vendor's own site, before you rely on it. Nothing here is a representation about what any publisher currently offers, charges or requires. We give no warranty that the content is complete, current or suited to any purpose you have in mind.

Other people's websites

This site links to websites run by others, including Australian government bodies, a game publisher, and an affiliate network. Those sites are outside our control. We do not endorse their content, we are not responsible for it, and their terms and privacy policies govern what happens once you arrive there. A link is a pointer, not a recommendation of everything at the other end.

Some links on this site are paid affiliate links, and Evropastar s.r.o. may be paid a commission when a reader registers through one. This is explained in full, including where those links appear, on the Affiliate Disclosure page, which forms part of these terms.

Brand names

All brand names on Calm Trait, Enlisted among them, are the property of their owners. Except for the paid affiliate links described on our funding page, none of those owners is affiliated with Calm Trait, and none has endorsed or sponsored it.

Your use of the site

The text, layout and code of this site belong to Evropastar s.r.o. You are welcome to read it, print the checklists, and use them at home or with people you are helping. You may not republish the content as your own or present it as issued by anyone else.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. If the Australian Consumer Law applies to the supply of this material and a guarantee under it is not met, you keep every right that law gives you, and these terms do not touch them.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent the law permits, Evropastar s.r.o. is not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or anything you reach from it, including loss arising from a decision to install, register for, buy or not buy anything. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to resupplying the information or paying the cost of having it resupplied.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, where Evropastar s.r.o. is established, and the courts of the Czech Republic have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them. That choice does not displace any consumer protection you have under Australian law, or under the law of the country where you live, that applies regardless of what a set of terms says.
