Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Evropastar s.r.o. handles personal information in connection with the website at calmtrait.online. It is written as a walkthrough of the thirteen Australian Privacy Principles, in order, so that you can see what each one means on a site like this one — including the several where the honest answer is that it barely applies.
The responsible entity is Evropastar s.r.o., Na Vyhlídce 1317/16, 360 01 Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic, company registration 29161266, contactable at info@calmtrait.online. Personal information connected with this site is handled in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, which are published by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au/privacy/australian-privacy-principles.
This policy covers calmtrait.online and nothing else. Links on this site lead to other organisations' websites, including the affiliate link at price-low.eu and the publisher pages it leads to, as well as the Australian government sites referenced in the course. Those sites are run by other people under their own privacy policies, and once you leave calmtrait.online this policy no longer applies to what happens to you.
APP 1 — Open and transparent management of personal information
This page is the policy the principle requires, it is linked from the footer of every page on the site, and it is written to be read rather than to be impressive. There is very little to manage: no form, no account, no newsletter, no analytics, no advertising tag, no profiling and no cross-site tracking anywhere on calmtrait.online, and the site requests nothing from any other server when a page loads. Questions about this policy go to info@calmtrait.online.
APP 2 — Anonymity and pseudonymity
You can read every page of this site, including the whole course and the checklists, without identifying yourself in any way. Nothing asks who you are. If you choose to write to us, you may use a pseudonymous email address and we will answer it — the one exception being a request to access or correct personal information, where we may need enough information to be satisfied that the information is actually yours before we hand it over.
APP 3 — Collection of solicited personal information
Two categories of information exist, and that is the complete list.
(a) Server access logs. Our hosting provider records, as web servers ordinarily do, the IP address of the device requesting a page, the date and time of the request, the URL requested, the referring page where the browser sends one, and the user-agent string identifying the browser and operating system. We do not ask for these; they are a by-product of delivering the page.
(b) Email you send us. If you write to info@calmtrait.online, we hold your email address, any name you choose to give, the content of your message and any attachment, together with our reply.
Nothing else is collected. There are no forms or input fields on this site. There are no accounts and no sign-up. No progress is tracked and the checklists do not record what you have ticked. No cookies are set, no web fonts are loaded, no analytics or advertising tags run, and no profiling or cross-site tracking takes place. No sensitive information, as the Privacy Act defines it, is collected at all.
APP 4 — Dealing with unsolicited personal information
Sometimes an email contains more than is needed to answer it — details of other people, documents, or personal circumstances we did not ask for. Where we receive personal information we could not have lawfully collected ourselves and do not need in order to reply, we destroy or de-identify it as soon as it is lawful and reasonable to do so.
APP 5 — Notification of collection
This page is that notification, and it is linked from every page of the site. We do not collect personal information from any third party, so there is no situation in which you would learn after the fact that we had obtained something about you.
APP 6 — Use and disclosure
Access logs are used for security, preventing abuse of the server, and diagnosing faults. Email is used to reply to you and to keep a record of the matter in case it comes up again. Neither is used for anything else.
We do not sell, rent, trade or otherwise make personal information available to anyone for marketing, and we do not provide it to data brokers or advertising networks. The only circumstances in which we would disclose it are to the providers described under APP 8 and 11, who hold it as part of running the server and the mailbox, and to a court, regulator or law enforcement body where the law requires it of us.
APP 7 — Direct marketing
We do not carry out direct marketing of any kind through this site. There is no mailing list, no newsletter, no course reminder, no re-engagement email and no mechanism by which you could be added to one. If you email us, you will receive a reply to that email and nothing further.
APP 8 — Cross-border disclosure
Two providers are involved in running this site: our hosting provider, which serves the pages and keeps the access logs, and our email service provider, which runs the mailbox behind info@calmtrait.online. They are the only recipients of personal information connected with this site.
Both may store or process data at locations outside Australia, and Evropastar s.r.o. is itself established in the Czech Republic, so data connected with this site should be assumed to be held outside Australia. We do not name the providers or their specific data centre locations here, because naming them accurately would require us to publish information we would then have to keep current.
APP 9 — Government related identifiers
This principle has no application here. Evropastar s.r.o. does not adopt, use or disclose any government related identifier — no tax file number, Medicare number, driver licence number or equivalent — in connection with this site, and the site provides no means by which you could supply one.
APP 10 — Quality of personal information
The only personal information we hold that could be inaccurate is what you tell us in an email. If something we hold about you is wrong, out of date or incomplete, write to info@calmtrait.online and we will correct it. We do not enrich, append to or verify personal information against any external source.
APP 11 — Security of personal information
The site is served over HTTPS. There is no database behind it and no stored submissions, because nothing is submitted: the pages are static files. Access logs sit with the hosting provider and are purged on the schedule below. The mailbox and the hosting account are reachable only by people working for Evropastar s.r.o., using individual credentials.
Retention is as follows. Server access logs are kept for 30 days and then deleted. Email is kept for 24 months after the last message in the conversation, and then deleted, unless it is needed to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim, in which case it is kept until that matter ends. We make no claim to hold any particular security certification or to meet any named standard, because we hold none.
APP 12 — Access to personal information
You may ask what personal information we hold about you. Write to info@calmtrait.online with Privacy request in the subject line. There is no charge for making the request. We reply within 30 days. In practice, for almost everyone who has never emailed us, the answer is that we hold nothing that identifies you, because an access log entry on its own does not tell us who you are.
APP 13 — Correction of personal information
You may ask us to correct personal information we hold about you, using the same address and the same subject line. The same 30-day period and the same absence of any charge apply. If we disagree that a correction is needed, we will tell you why in writing, and you may ask us to attach a statement of your view to the information.
Affiliate links and what happens when you click one
Some links on this site are paid affiliate links. Following one takes you off calmtrait.online to a site operated by someone else. At that point, the destination site, the game publisher behind it and the affiliate network that operates the link may set cookies or use similar technology on their own domains in order to record that the visit came from here. That happens under their privacy policies, not this one, and we have no control over it and no access to it.
Evropastar s.r.o. receives commission reports from the affiliate network. Those reports are aggregate records of referrals and payments. We use them only to reconcile what we are owed, and we do not ask for, and do not want, information identifying individual readers.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled personal information, write to info@calmtrait.online and set out what occurred. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, which explains the process at oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints.
Data breaches
If we have reason to believe personal information connected with this site has been accessed or disclosed without authorisation, or lost, we assess it promptly. Where the assessment indicates that serious harm to any affected person is likely, we notify those people and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
Children
This site is not directed at people under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the site has no facility through which a child could provide any.
If you are in the European Union, the EEA or the United Kingdom
Evropastar s.r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, so the General Data Protection Regulation also applies to this handling. Our legal basis for keeping server access logs is our legitimate interest in operating the site securely and diagnosing faults. Our basis for handling email is taking steps at your request and responding to your enquiry. There is no consent basis anywhere on this site, because there are no cookies and no tracking to consent to.
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection in respect of information we hold about you; write to info@calmtrait.online. You may also lodge a complaint with the Czech supervisory authority, the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), at uoou.gov.cz, or with the supervisory authority where you live.
Changes to this policy
When this policy is revised, the effective date at the top is updated. If a change is material — if it alters what we collect, why, how long we keep it or who receives it — we flag it in a note at the top of this page for 30 days after the change.
